Law on Communication
The main law which regulates the stadium of communications in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and establishes and defines the work of the Communications Regulatory way of life (CRA) is the Law on Communications dating from September 2003 (Communication Law 2003). This law basically establishes a converged regulator which has authority over both the content and the carriage of broadcasting.

Set of laws about populace service broadcasting
The latest legislation from October 2005, the first one passed by BiH lawmakers (but again upon the insistence of the international community), anticipates four components within the BiH ordinary Broadcasting System. Three are entity televisions Radio Television of nation of Srpska (RTRS), Radio Television of Federation BiH (RTVFBiH) and a radio-television that covers the entire coarse (BHRT). The fourth component is the Corporation of Public Broadcasting run in BiH which brings these three components together and at the same period coordinates their work.

Law on Protection Against Defamation
Both entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted separate, though identical in essence, laws on defamation in 2002. That means that this area was definitely decriminalized and transferred from the domain of criminal law into the domain of civil law.
The law encourages freedom of expression to such an extent that even expression that might offend, anger or upset are protected. On the other hand, the law requires the master key conduct of journalists, in line with press code and without worst intent.
