Military-Industrial Complex
To ensure interior(a) security, the federal government spends billions of dollars yearly ,
keeping the men and women of the country working. The military- industrial complex is
the relationship between our nations armed forces and the defense industrial base that
supports them. It is basically the relationship between big businesses and the military.
Since applied science is constantly changing, this relationship is every important if the US
would similar to keep up with otherwise countries. By keeping this tie-in strong, we, as a
whole, are able to compete with other military if necessary. President Dwight D.
Eisenhower came up with the term military-industrial complex in his farewell address of
1961. He thought that extensive disbursal for defense and war would cause power groups
that could destructively terms the nations approaching.
President Eisenhower took notice to the massive sum total of responsibility that the
country had. When he believed that the nations future was in harm, he was
